A few years ago I was in Disneyland Hong Kong with my then-two-year-old. It was night. The fireworks show was building. The music — and I'm a Disney fan, I know every song — hit a swell, and I looked down at my child asleep on my shoulder, and I realised I'd never felt this kind of bond before. Not the daily kind.
